Why Susume Nihongo Exists

As a Japanese language student, I used many different tools to support my learning. Recently, I also started incorporating AI into this process. However, managing so many platforms became exhausting, many of them paid, and often with more advertising than actual Japanese learning content.

As an engineer, I wanted to create something simpler, more efficient, and free. I chose to use Google’s AI because anyone can access the free tier of Gemini, and it offers a wide range of AI capabilities, including Live and TTS features.

Susume Nihongo is not meant to replace a good textbook or a great teacher, but rather to serve as a centralized complement to your studies. I hope this project can contribute in some way to your journey of learning Japanese.

I’m currently at the N4 level and will continue expanding the platform with new content as I progress.
